A: Buzios is located 200 km from Rio de Janeiro, less than 2 hour-drive. A private transfer by car or helicopter can be arranged with our service providers, if needed. These shuttle services are booked directly via e- mail. If needed, reach us at info@viladasanta.com. Reservations, changes, or cancellations will be accepted with at least 24 hour-notice.

Q: Where is the hotel located?
A: The hotel main entrance is facing Ossos Park and on the back side, it opens up to the Ossos beach; it is a 15-minute walk from the Rua das Pedras (Street of Rocks) and the Orla Bardot, and it is minutes away from the beaches of Azeda and Azedinha, and Joao Fernandes.

Q: At what distance is the city center from Vila da Santa?
A: The city center is just 10-minute walk from the hotel via beautiful Orla Bardot.

A: There are many car rental companies at the Rio international airport.

Q: Does the hotel have parking spots?
A: There are parking lots 200 meters away from the Hotel, that is an external service, distinct from the Hotel. Our Concierge will help you make arrangements.

A: In the peninsula of Búzios, there are 23 beaches with their individual characteristics. Some are more adequate for diving, others offer perfect waves for surfing or other aquatic sport.

Q: How is the nightlife in Búzios?
A: During the low season, Búzios provides a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Restaurants with a variety of cuisines are always available to visitors in this beautiful city. Some bars and nightclubs open only on weekends. Búzios is a perfect destination for those who want to escape from the busyness of cities and enjoy the charming atmosphere of a fishing village. In high season, the nightlife of the city is much more dynamic, with international crowd visiting Buzios.

Q: What should I wear?
Spring – Beach: Bikini / shorts, sarong, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals, lightweight long-sleeved shirt to wear at the end of a day at the beach or after sunset. During day time: clothes suitable for average temperatures of 25 °C. At night: the temperature can drop to 20ºC, so it is recommended to have a light blouse. A shawl can also be useful for cooler evenings.
Summer – Beach: bikini / shorts, sarong, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals and the lightest clothes you have. During day time: clothes suitable for average temperatures of 30°C. In the evening: dresses, skirts, blouses, shoes, shorts, T-shirts. A very light shirt, long-sleeved when there is a lot of wind.
Autumn – Beach: Bikini / shorts, sarong, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals, lightweight long-sleeved shirt to wear at the end of a beach day or after sunset. During day time: clothes suitable for average temperatures of 24 °C. At night: the temperature can drop to 20 °C, so it is recommended to wear a light sweater, closed shoes, scarf and pants.
Winter – Beach: Bikini / shorts, dresses or comfortable pants, sarong, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sandals, light long-sleeve shirt or light sweater to use at the end of a day on the beach or after sunset. During day time: clothes for average temperatures of 24 °C. At night: the temperature can drop to 18 °C, so it is recommended to wear a sweater, closed shoes, scarf, pants and a jacket.

Q: Do I need a visa to enter Brazil?
A: Visitors from various countries need to check by themselves whether they need a visa.
No visa is required for European Community countries, including the UK. A tourist visa is required for citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico and Japan. Upon check-in, we will ask the guest to present an official identification document.

Q: Electricity and type of plug?
A: The electricity in Brazil is 110 volts with sockets fitting two pins.

Q: Does the hotel have a meeting room?
A: Vila da Santa Boutique Hotel & SPA features a meeting room with capacity for 30 people and a restaurant for 50 people.

Q: What is the Lost & Found policy?
A: Items forgotten by guests at the hotel and found after departure will be saved to be returned to the owner within 90 days. After this period, the Hotel will dispose of the unclaimed items in the way it seems most appropriate.

Q: Is the daily rate per room or per person?
A: The rates apply for a suite, whether occupied by one or two people. In some rooms, a third bed can be placed, additional 30 % of the room rate will apply.

Q: Is the breakfast included in the daily rate?
A: Yes, the gourmet breakfast of Vila da Santa Hotel Boutique & Spa is included in the daily rates.
